SA001 OVERHEAD SAFETY

FULL COURSE DETAILS

Overhead Safety is a qualification from Smart Awards. Candidates will learn about the potential risks involved in working safely on ladders and wooden poles in a telecommunications environment.

The course covers 3 modules:
Ladder safety.
Pole checking and climbing.
Joint user poles.

Candidates will learn about the different types of ladders and poles, how to inspect them for safety, and the correct techniques for climbing and working on them. They will also learn about the hazards associated with working overhead, such as falls, electric shock, and live wires.

The SA001 qualification is aimed at anyone who works within the external overhead telecoms infrastructure, such as telecommunications engineers, and aerial installers.
