The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) is a UK-based accreditation body that provides certification for operators in the construction and industrial sectors. When attending NPORS courses, participants must adhere to specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements to ensure safety during training and assessments. The typical PPE requirements for NPORS courses include:

  1. Safety Boots: Steel toe-cap boots or other safety boots meeting the required safety standards to protect feet from falling objects, sharp items, and other hazards.
  2. High-Visibility Clothing (Hi-Viz): High-visibility vests, jackets, or other garments to ensure that the wearer is easily seen by others on the site, reducing the risk of accidents.
  3. Hard Hat: A safety helmet to protect the head from impacts, falling objects, and other head injury risks.
  4. Safety Gloves: Gloves designed to protect hands from cuts, abrasions, chemicals, and other occupational hazards.
  5. Light Eye Protection: Safety glasses or goggles to shield the eyes from dust, debris, splashes, and other potential eye hazards.

These PPE items are essential for ensuring the safety of participants during practical training and  assessments involving plant machinery and other construction equipment.
