How do I book a course?

You can book a place on a course by:-

1. Purchasing it through our website directly

2. Calling us direct on 0113 345 2244

3. Emailing info@locktelacademy.co.uk

I have a question about a course - what should i do?

The quickest and easiest options are to call us directly on 0113 345 2244 and ask to speak to a course trainer, or email info@locktelacademy.co.uk with your question. One of the course trainers will then follow up with you directly.

I have made a booking - what happens now?

Upon payment for your course booking you will receive a confirmation email of your course booking and order.

This acts as your receipt showing the amount paid, the course date and the course name.

Shortly after this you will then receive a follow up email with your specific course joining instructions. This will confirm the PPE requirements along with recapping course timings and training location details.

What do i need to bring with me?

You are required to bring photographic ID by way of confirmation of identity.

If you are taking part in a practical training course, you will be required to bring along mandatory PPE.

The specifics for each course are outlined on the course booking page, and are again re-iterated in the joining instructions email issued for the course. In general safety boots, warm suitable clothing, hi-vis vest and safety helmet.

When do I need to pay for my course?

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Payment can be made via our secure website or you can pay via Bank Transfer (this can be requested by contacting us directly via email info@locktelacademy.co.uk) to request a course booking.

What do i do if i need to cancel a booking?

In the event you need to cancel a booked place on a course, our cancellation policy fees are strictly as follows:-

  • More than 14 days in advance you can obtain a full refund
  • Between 6 and 13 days in advance you can obtain a refund of 75% of the original booking fee paid
  • 5 days or less in advance there is no refund permitted.
  • All cancellations must be made in writing.
  • None attendance on the day shall be charged at 100% of the fees paid.
  • Non-completion of courses shall be chargeable at the full rate.

I need to organise a Purchase Order - can this be added to the invoice?

Of course. You can add a purchase order reference number when making online bookings via the Basket Summary page.

If you are booking over the phone or via email, just let the person you are dealing with what the Purchase Order number is and they can add it to your order and invoice for you.

Can i substitute a delegate?

Yes, this can be done any time up to 1 working day in advance of the course.

To do this, you need to call our team and speak with them directly on 0113 345 2244 (lines are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00)

I can no longer attend a course date - Can i change the date?

If you or a delegate can no longer attend, they can potentially be transferred to another training date or be added to the course standby list. This needs to be done via a written request to info@locktelacademy.co.uk and must be made 14 days or more in advance of the training date booked.

What time do i need to turn up?

You will receive joining instructions via email to the email address entered during the booking process.

As a general guide all courses have an arrival time of 08:00 to 08:15.

Courses start at 08:30 each day

Courses finish by 16:30 each day.

What do i need to bring with me?

Is there parking at the venue

yes, there is free car parking at the training centre. The address and parking instructions can be found on all course information/booking pages and will be issued out as part of any course joining instructions as well.

Do you send out any documentation before the course?

All relevant information for the course in terms of preparation requirements is covered within the joining instructions.

All courses are supported by relevant documentation which is supplied on the day of the course.

When will i receive my certificate?

Certificates and ID cards are usually sent out in the post upon successful completion of the course.

The average lead time for certificates is 2 - 3 weeks depending on the awarding body.

If you require your certificate and / or ID card sooner, please let us know at the time of booking or your instructor know at the beginning of your course.
