Set out temporary traffic management to provide signing, safety zones, walkways, traffic lanes, temporary traffic lights and Stop/Go.

Knowledge is assessed by multiple choice examination.
Please enter the score achieved by the candidate in the space provided.
The pass mark is 80%.

The candidate must be able to:

Carry out an on-site risk assessment to identify hazards and risks with the intended site.
State the action required to minimise risk and ensure a safe system of work.
Provide a detailed plan for an intended site, showing all distances and dimensions in accordance with the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice.
Provide an equipment list for the intended site.
Select and confirm suitability of equipment.
Set out advance warning signs, safety zones, traffic lanes, temporary traffic lights and pedestrian walkways in a specified sequence.
Demonstrate the testing, alteration of timings and commissioning temporary traffic signals.
Set out and remove provision for Stop/Go traffic control.
Remove temporary traffic management in a specified sequence.
Demonstrate use of personal protective equipment and good working practices in the setting out and taking down of temporary traffic management.

Personal Protective Equipment (Mandatory)

Safety Boots.
Safety Helmet.
Hi-Visibility Vest – Long Sleeve.
Appropriate Gloves.
Clothing suitable for inclement weather (Advised).

Mandatory PPE - Please note without the correct PPE candidates could be refused onto the event and charges will still apply.
